The Martin Jensen Radio Show

Wednesday 21:00 – 22:00

Becoming the most successful Danish electronic artist ever, Martin Jensen today celebrates a third straight year in the influential DJ Mag Top 100 as fans around the world turned out in their hundreds of thousands to vote for their favorite EDM acts.

Announced Saturday night at a glittering awards ceremony during the Amsterdam Music Festival, this marks the third year in a row that Jensen has climbed the rankings, moving a whopping 16 places from #70 up to #54.

“I’m beyond happy,” said a thrilled Jensen. “The Top 100 means so much to DJs because these are the awards that are purely voted for by the fans. My biggest aim when I get on the stage is just to make people happy, to make them dance, to use music to give them a time that they won’t forget. I wouldn’t be doing what I love without them and I certainly wouldn’t be so high up in the DJ Mag Top 100 without their votes, so I just want to shout out a massive thank you to everyone that voted for me. I promise 2019 is going to be even bigger!”

Although still being at the beginning of his career with merely eight single releases, the 25-year-old Danish DJ has already had a global hit with the single ‘Solo Dance’, and his most recent success can be found on the single ‘Wait’, which has already been streamed about 75 million times on Spotify.

In all, Martin Jensen accounts for more than 1000.000.000 streams of his releases – on Spotify alone. He is behind official remixes for world famous stars as Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry.

With more new music still set to drop over the last few months of 2018, it seems there’s no stopping the young Dane. Just shy of breaking into the Top 50 this year, that’s something surely on the cards for 2019.
