We have compiled an FAQ list of questions we frequently receive. You may find the answer to your question here.

How can I listen to Rise FM on a smartphone or tablet?

You can use our own app to listen to the station on an iPhone, or iPad, or a smartphone or tablet using the Android operating system. The app is available from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. In view of the low market share occupied by the Microsoft operating system (as of September 2014), we do not offer a dedicated app for Windows Phone. We recommend the TuneIn Radio App as an alternative for Windows Phone users.

Why is Rise FM sounding so loud and clear compared to many other stations?

To give our listeners the best experience we use digital sound processing to enhance the quality of the music we play. This is achived by using different software and hardware solutions delivered by only the best in the business. No "cheap" Orban or Omnia equipment here!

Are you also broadcasting on the FM band in Denmark like "normal" radio stations?

No, we're only available on the internet. The costs of running a station on the FM band here in Denmark is sky high and is nothing we have plans about in the near future.

What does the "FM" in your name mean when you're not broadcasting on the FM band?

Rise FM is short for Rise Future Media which is the name of the very small private "company" owning and running the station. Actually you can't even call it a real company because Rise FM has no income at all but only expenses and most people would probably consider that to be a very bad business plan.

Why am i unable to listen to your station using Windows Media Player?

You're probably using a very very old version. Go here and get the latest available version. Our stream is not a genuine WMA stream but a pure MP3 stream which is not compatible with ancient versions of Windows Media Player.

Am i allowed to rip and save your stream using StreamRipper or similar software?

This is not legal in all countries - check with your local authorities! On the other hand, there's not much we can do about it. If you decide you still want to rip the stream and screw the music industry, use only one connection for the ripper plugin and NOT one for your player also!
